Drop boxes will be set up at all Bill Marsh locations to take donations of new or used coats, hats, gloves, boots and warm socks. Once collected the clothing will be cleaned and distributed through area human services agencies.
The program was started as a way to provide warm clothing for people staying at the Safe Harbor homeless shelters at area churches. But the clothing drive had such a huge response that the winter wear was distributed through other agencies such as the
Father Fred Foundation.
Drop boxes will be set up at
Bill Marsh dealerships on South Garfield in addition to
Price Point,
Saturn and Hyundai dealerships. Additional boxes will be located at the Bill Marsh Body and Paint Center and the Brake and Alignment Center on Barlow.
