The newest crossover from GMC, the 2010 Terrain, offers premium features, fuel economy, comfort and cargo space, all wrapped in four trims – SLE-1, SLE-2, SLT-1 and SLT-2 – with premium options packages for each that expand your choices even more! Imagine the possibilities!
In addition to its bold exterior styling, the 2010 GMC Terrain offers impressive fuel efficiency, substantial power, useful technology and second-row legroom that beats both the Ford Expedition (by over two inches) and the Toyota Sequoia (by six inches). With the 2010 GMC Terrain, you can choose from nine exterior color choices and three interior options, so decking out your Terrain will be almost as much fun as driving it.
First, the power story: All models of the GMC Terrain come with a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder Spark Ignition Direct Injection (SIDI) engine with variable valve timing (VVT) that develops 182 hp with 174 lb/ft of torque. GMC offers another engine on all but the SLE-1, and that powerplant is a 3.0-liter SIDI V6 with VVT that kicks out 264 hp and 222 lb/ft of torque. Both engines come with a standard six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive with the option of all-wheel drive on all models.
Inside, you’ll find a snappy center stack and attractive control layout, so you can make the most of the Terrain’s features easily. An innovative noise-canceling system makes for an extra-quiet ride. For toting all those important things from city to suburb and back again, the 2010 GMC Terrain offers 31.6 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats; when those seats are folded, there is a whopping 63.7 cubic feet of space.
Need to move more? Towing capacity is substantial in the 2010 Terrain. When properly equipped, the V6 can haul up to 3,500 pounds. Now you can bring the family and the towable toys with ease!
Starting with the SLE-1, standard features include cruise control, a trip computer, heated side mirrors, full power accessories, a power driver’s seat and MultiFlex sliding and reclining rear seating. Integrated into the rearview mirror is a standard rear-vision camera, so you can have a clear field of view before you back up. Also included are a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, OnStar, a six-speaker CD with satellite radio, a USB port and an auxiliary input jack. It may not seem like there’s much more to add, but upgrade to the SLE-2 and get roof rails, 18-inch alloy wheels (on the V6 models), a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an eight-way power driver’s seat, Bluetooth, an eight-speaker Pioneer sound system and automatic climate control.
The SLT-1 offers all of the above and a remote engine starter, leather upholstery and heated front seats. Move up to the SLT-2 and the creature comforts and conveniences multiply. These include special exterior features with the Chrome Appearance Package, a distinctive grille, a sunroof, a programmable power liftgate, rear parking sensors and memory settings for the driver’s seat and outside mirrors. Depending on the trim package you choose, there is an available hard drive based navigation system with a larger rearview camera display, 40GB of music storage and a rear seat entertainment system.
With its fuel-efficient four-cylinder engine and front wheel drive, this fuel-sipper gets an EPA estimated 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway!
For safety, the GMC Terrain comes standard with antilock disc brakes, StabiliTrak stability control system with traction control, dual-stage front airbags, thorax side-impact airbags for driver and front passenger, side-curtain airbags for front and rear outboard seating positions and the all-important OnStar.
Add some color to your life with metallic exterior color choices such as Atlantic Blue, Mocha Steel or Quicksilver to match the Jet Black, Light Titanium or Brownstone interior choices. With an MSRP starting at $24,250, adding a 2010 GMC Terrain to your driveway makes perfect sense!
