Requests for food assistance have increased dramatically at the Father Fred Foundation in Traverse City, and a Fall Festival will be held Saturday at Timber Ridge Resort in an effort to collect food for the Foundation.

The festival includes music, raffles, prizes and complimentary beer tasting from Micro Breweries plus look for a wide selection of appetizers and desserts.  Entry fee is $20, but additional food and cash donations for the food pantry are also encouraged.

A ten-percent match of event proceeds will be made by Save-a-Lot food store.
