Preview: Thirty-three Million Dollar Baby
LeMans-inspired Audi R8 Supercar debuts in 2007.
The 2008 Audi R8 will be introduced in late 2007. After a $33 million investment, Audi has created a true world-class supercar inspired by its LeMans-winning prototype racecar. Based on the Lamborghini Gallardo platform (Lamborghini is owned by Audi), the R8 is a mid-engine, two-seat, sports car poised to enter the true “supercar” ranks, a niche occupied only by the finest, highest performance and most expensive cars in the world. Pricing has not yet been established, but experts predict it will go for slightly more than $100,000, a relative bargain in its class. (A Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 goes for $320K)

Take a Brake. You’ll Learn Something.
Keep your brakes at peak condition.
While the horsepower, top speed and acceleration of your vehicle are some of its most glamorous features, its most important components just may be the ones that keep those under control.
