This Spring, check out the array of enriching activities the region has to offer!

If you’ve been anticipating the good weather in hopes of an exciting adventure, now is a great time to get out and enjoy a day at one of the area’s many entertaining and educational attractions. Whether you spend a day on a farm in New Hampshire or go on a wild moose chase in Maine, there are plenty of interesting adventures waiting for you!

There’s nothing like a day at the zoo to celebrate the season. Gather your family or friends for a visit to one of the area’s best! Check out a host of exotic animals at Roger Williams Park Zoo located in Providence, Rhode Island. From giant anteaters to emus, the zoo is home to more than 100 different species of animals showcased in elaborate, recreated natural habitats from various continents around the world including Africa, Australia, North America and South America. The zoo is open year-round and features a café and gift shop. Separate from the zoo, Roger Williams Park also houses a vintage carousel and a botanical center. Spend a day in the shade at the Bartlett Arboretum and Gardens located in Stamford, Connecticut. The arboretum and gardens sprawl across more than 90 acres of lush landscapes comprising planted gardens, woodlands, wetlands and open areas. Bartlett is home to a unique collection of plant life both native to the region and imported from other parts of the world. Collections include rhododendrons, tea trees, magnolias and more. This diverse selection of flowers, foliage and trees offers visitors a chance to relax among a number of nature’s most interesting plants, all in one place. Seasonal plant displays enhance the garden’s ever-growing collection. The gardens are open year-round. For more information, visit www.bartlettarboretum.org.
