Food is not that good … but expensive. Fish and chips, smashed peas and three diet cokes at one hotel ran a $44.00 tab. Read On!

www.tradeshowtraining.com

THEN LISTEN. You should be listening up to 80% of the time. Read On!

Spring Book Show Gets Rave Reviews Despite Tornado-forced Move
www.springbookshow.com
by Noel Griese

In a classic crisis communication case study, Spring Book Show staffers, augmented by temporary staff, sent thousands of emails and made thousands of phone calls to make sure everyone was informed of the change in venue for the Spring Book Show. As a result, almost no cancellations were made as a result of the venue change – and insofar as effectiveness went, only one temporarily unhappy attendee ended up going to the GWCC instead of coming straight to the Hilton and vendors were almost universal in saying the Hilton venue resulted in a more intimate sales atmosphere, more customer contact, higher traffic and increased sales. by Cathie Eargle

The Great American Bargain Book Show has already sold 350 tables, according to Cathie Eargle, show co-coordinator.  “We are delighted with the response,” said Eargle. “The show has only been ‘open for selection’ for two weeks and we are only 50 tables behind where we ended up last year. I think we’ll top out at about 450 tables – that is great for a second year show.” Read On!
