Harry Potter has now shattered all publishing records in history by selling 5 million copies on its first day of release, Saturday June 21, by beating the high mark set by Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which sold 3 million copies during its first weekend of publication. This book has truly swept the nation by filling national and local news coverage all around the world this weekend. It was even privileged with a rare front page review in the New York Times on Saturday.
