So Where Was Books Are Fun?
Many of the attendees of the Spring Book Show asked that very question. The answer, they are very sorry that they were not able to attend the Spring show but they have been busy sorting though a significant integration process. They called the office this week and apologized. To make up for not being at the show they are inviting everyone to attend their open house on March 25th and 26th in Chicago (Romeoville), Illinois.

A majority of the assets of Books Are Fun were purchased in December 2008 by Imagine Nation Books. Ironically both companies are the brainchild of Earl Kaplan, an entrepreneurial businessman that first started Books Are Fun in 1990, then started Imagine Nation Books in 2005.

The two companies combined offer about 2.5 million units of overstock gift, book and toy items that are looking for a home. If you are interested in scheduling a time, contact Tim McCormick at tmccormick@imaginenation.us you can also call 480-838-4309 8 am to 5 pm pacific time Monday –Friday.

Books Are Fun will be planning more events in the coming weeks and are looking for input. The company is considering holding open houses at each of their 5 warehouses. Please contact them if you want to be on the invitation list for further events.
