The New PG6000 Emergency Generator.
Unbeatable “clean power” and performance
http://www.baldor.com/pdf/literature/FL2...

Baldor is happy to introduce a new portable generator engineered to deliver an unbeatable combination of “clean power” and performance. The PG6000 is the latest Baldor portable generator in the mid-range industrial units we offer. The generator produces a continuous rating output of 5300 watts and a maximum output of nearly 6000 watts. The heart of the new PG6000 is the Honda GX340 11hp overhead-valve engine that can run continuously at full load for 4 hours on a single tank of gas at a low 74 dBA noise level.

The PG6000 was designed specifically for emergency service operations to keep sensitive office equipment operational in the event of grid power loss. Low harmonics (< 4% on this unit) are essential for operating computers and general office equipment. With greater available amp output (44.2 amps), this unit is also ideal for industrial/commercial use to operate multiple heavy-duty power tools and equipment.

Some of the new features include:

Mini PLC function- We have added several Logic functions whereby the user can select internal or external inputs, make a logical statement, and then set an internal or external output. For example, suppose you want to start the drive only after 3 inputs are closed, you can do so. Or say you want to set an output based on a switch closure and running at a set speed, that can be done as well.

Standby Generator Serves a Dual Purpose
in the Boreham Learning Center

“Keeping power running to the facility is critical from a learning and safety standpoint,” says Marty Golofski, Baldor’s Director of Education.

To make the facility safe during any unexpected power outages, a 30kW Baldor standby diesel generator has been installed near the southeast corner of the Boreham Learning Center.  The Baldor generator serves a dual purpose: it will be used as a standby emergency power system, and by using a second transfer switch, the unit will be used to do a ‘live’ demonstration for visiting customers and generator product classes.
