The search for ET
http://www.baldor.com/pdf/literature/FM6...
The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), managed for NASA by the California Institute of Technology, is the lead U.S. center for robotic exploration of the solar system. JPL has led the modern world in the exploration of the majority of every known planet in our solar system, except Pluto.
Bill Colton, Manager of Baldor Los Angeles said: “…Baldor has worked with JPL a lot over the years. We have supplied DC motors (subreflector positioner) and drive amplifiers (antenna) for some of the world’s most sophisticated antennae systems developed and used by JPL. The antennas are used to track communications between space satellites and Earth ground communication stations...”
Every U.S. deep space mission is designed to allow continuous radio communication with the spacecraft.

"Most Preferred" in both motors and drives.
Machine Design magazine
Congratulations is in order once again! Readers have voiced their opinions in an independent study conducted in November 2005 by Machine Design magazine (a leading publication read by designers, engineers, and specifiers of equipment used in the manufacture of industrial machines) and Baldor once again has been selected as the "Most Preferred" in both motors and drives.
This is a first for Baldor in the drives category and we are very proud of this accomplishment. Our new H2 industrial drives are beginning to make their way into the field and customers like the H2's reliability, ease of use and high performance. Here are the results from the independent survey.

Readers Choice Awards
Plant Services magazine
Baldor has won another Reader's Choice Award, this time from the readers of Plant Services magazine.
The magazine surveyed 40,000 qualified Plant Services subscribers asking them to "identify those suppliers you recognize as offering the best value in their product category: the products that deliver the combination of functionality, durability and low maintenance that add up to the lowest estimated lifecycle costs."
The survey was "un-aided" meaning that the plant maintenance superintendents, plant managers, technicians, etc. did not have a list of suppliers to pick from, but had to recall the supplier from memory.
So how did we do?
