Complete Ethernet motion control solution lets machine builders take giant step forward
http://www.baldor.com/pdf/literature/BR1...
Today, Baldor launches an innovative solution for implementing machinery and motion control systems using the industry-standard Ethernet Powerlink protocol. Consisting of servo motor drives, a full-function machine controller that will also manage over 200 axes of motion, and a license-free software environment, the range provides machine builders with the platform to make radical progress.
Among a very broad range of gains made possible by this new Ethernet-friendly machine control architecture are the means to provide end users with machinery that will link seamlessly into local and wide area networks, and simpler system building and commissioning. These are complemented by the possibility of making major hardware bill-of-materials savings from reduced wiring, the ability to use a single controller for almost every application - even those requiring very large numbers of motion axes - the freedom to choose the most economic hardware from an open marketplace, and the elimination of software license fees for systems.

High-speed linear motor powers ground-breaking zip attach system for resealable food packaging
An advanced linear motor system from Baldor is powering Supreme Plastics' revolutionary new zipper applicator for continuous vertical form-fill-seal and horizontal flow-wrapping equipment. Two zip attachment heads running along the same magnet track allow the new Reseal 460X machine to achieve throughputs of up to 120 pouches/minute, providing a breakthrough in food packaging technology.

Baldor has introduced a stainless steel brushless servo motor (SSBSM-series)
http://www.baldor.com/products/servomoto...
The new stainless steel servo motors provide more customer benefits compared to the old white washdown servos. And as the SSBSM servos come off the production line, the old white washdown servos will no longer be available.

Why No Raincap on Baldor TS Mobile Generators?
This question comes up from time to time. Isn’t a raincap how you keep water from getting into your exhaust system and, eventually, your engine? Well… that is one way to accomplish that task. Another method is to direct the exhaust horizontally. The exhaust stacks on many trucks use this method. A third method is to provide a drain at the lowest point where the rain would first enter a system. Method three is the one Baldor uses in our TS series of generators.
