Baldor's New Precision Gearheads for BSM Servomotors

Baldor's new planetary gearheads are designed for servo applications requiring precision, durability, and trouble free operation. They mount directly to Baldor's family of BSM servo motors to provide torque multiplication, speed reduction and inertia matching.

These planetary gearheads are designed with low backlash to reduce shock loads in dynamic reversing application. Standard backlash is 15, 12 or 10
arc-minutes maximum. Lower backlash and right angle units are also available.

    Features include:

  • Backlash specification holds for the rated gearhead life
  • Case hardened and ground gearing - to maintain accuracy
  • Rugged steel construction - high rated torque for emergency stopping
  • Dual ball bearing supports - stiffness and high radial load capacity
  • Self-locating input pinion - easy assembly

Baldor St. Louis Plant Increases Productivity

Baldor's St. Louis plant produces Stator and Rotor laminations for Baldor's motor plants.  Laminations are produced on stamping presses and each press must be loaded and unloaded quickly for optimal operation.  Baldor products easily accomplish this task and provide streamlined and economical unloaders called Pick and Place machines.

The Pick & Place machine uses 2 linear motor stages (X and Y-axis) and a BSM servo motor (Z axis) that create a gantry to assemble and stack laminations into boxes or onto pallets. Baldor NextMoveBXII Motion Controller and three FlexDriveII drives provide axis control.  Operation is smooth and reliable.  Baldor products can solve your production headaches and off the shelf delivery means you don't have to wait.
