Baldor Announces New Portable Inverter Generators

Baldor's new inverter generators run at a slower speed for low power needs and automatically increase speed, as more electrical power is required. AC Output voltage and frequency remain constant at any engine speed. The engine runs quieter—58 to 62 dbA and saves fuel.

Generator      Watts (maximum)
PC17Ri            1,650
PC32Ri            3,200
PC43Ri            4,300

Baldor’s new Ri series generators are designed with industrial duty alternator and inverter. They are powerful, provide clean power for sensitive electronic equipment and are very quiet and fuel efficient. Baldor = power you can rely on.

What’s important in motor selection criteria?

When selecting a motor, many people think the lowest cost is most important. But what is the lowest cost? Some think it is the initial purchase price. Others think it is the total cost over the life cycle of the motor. Here is something to think about, consider what the costs are. Based on the U.S. Department of Energy survey the average life of a motor is 28 years. The costs over those 28 years are summarized as a percentage of total life cycle cost in the pie chart as follows:
Initial Purchase price = 2%. Energy used=97.3%.

Suddenly, NEMA Premium™ efficiency levels come to the forefront of our mind. Spending a little more up front can keep cash in your pocket over those years. Baldor’s NEMA Premium ™ efficient motors are called Super-E® Motors. Baldor’s Super-E® Motors meet or exceed the standards and have a distinctive gold color to identify them.

Are there incentives to upgrade?
Absolutely, many incentive programs are available nationwide to help with some of the costs. Baldor is still offering it’s $1/HP rebate on it’s Super-E® Motors. Read how RMC Cement Division took full advantage of these opportunities and began saving money immediately with quick payback on their investment.
