Martha “Marty” James has concentrated her practice in the area of immigration law since 1999. She has successfully represented corporations, businesses and individuals in obtaining nonimmigrant visas, labor certifications and ultimately permanent residence for foreign nationals from around the world. Additionally, she has assisted families seeking to bring relatives to the United States.
Ms. James graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1993. She practiced in California in the areas of real estate litigation, civil litigation, creditor bankruptcy and family law until her relocation to Texas. Her move allowed her to pursue immigration, an area of the law that she finds particularly rewarding.
Ms. James is licensed to practice law in California and Texas. She is admitted to the 9th and the 5th Circuits. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Texas Bar Association, the California Bar Association, and the Dallas Bar Association. She sustains her legal education through immigration seminars and courses. Additionally, she has authored numerous immigration articles.
