All categories of business immigration, including unskilled workers, continue to be current, which means that all workers with approved visa numbers can apply for adjustment of status or consular processing. If you have an approved I140 and have not applied for adjustment of status (the final phase of the permanent residence application), now is the time to do it.

Special Registration Required for Certain Nationals
Males from 18 countries must comply

Certain males with nonimmigrant visas who are nationals or citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, or Syria must register before December 16, 2002. Certain males with nonimmigrant visas who are nationals or citizens of Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Eritrea, Lebanon, Morocco, North Korea, Oman, Qatar, Somalia, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, or Yemen must register before January 10,2003.
