Your car should be comfortable and efficient, saving you money and functioning as a second home. If you commute to work, or you just love taking road trips, it’s important to have a sedan with the comfort and style you deserve. The 2018 Kia Forte includes luxury interior features, advanced technology and an efficiency rating that won’t break the bank.
The 2018 Kia Forte is available in three trims: LX, S and EX.
You can customize your interior to fit your lifestyle by choosing a trim level. The base trim, LX, is equipped with woven cloth seat trim, and you can customize your seating and cargo space with a 60/40-split folding rear seat. Upper trim levels continue to adjust your interior, with black sport cloth seat trim and a leather-wrapped steering wheel on the S and leather seat trim with heated front seats on the EX.
Technology begins as a standard, as well, with a four-speaker audio system on the base trim, equipped with Bluetooth® wireless technology, AM/FM radio, a CD player, MP3 connectivity and SiriusXM® Satellite Radio. The S adds Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ into the mix for added connectivity.
Performance and efficiency
The 2018 Kia Forte thrives in the efficiency category. Equipped with a 2.0-liter DOHC inline four-cylinder Atkinson Cycle engine, the Forte outputs a peppy performance rating of 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. There are two available transmissions, a six-speed manual and an electronically controlled six-speed automatic with Sportmatic®; your transmission choice will affect your efficiency ratings.
When equipped with the manual transmission, you can expect an estimated 25 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway.* Efficiency ratings are even better with the automatic transmission, rated at an estimated 29 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.*
Driver-assist technologies are making their way into new vehicles, and the 2018 Kia Forte is pulling out all the stops. There are several driver-assist features that come standard across all three trim levels, including a Brake Assist System (BAS) and Hill Start Assist Control (HAC). If you decide to choose the high-end EX trim, your Kia Forte will also include Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Lane Change Assist (LCA).
