Chief People Officer Honored for Extensive Professional and Civic Achievements

Atlanta, GA — Manheim Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer Lilicia Bailey was named by Auto Remarketing magazine as a member of its “2011 Women in Remarketing” list. Bailey and nine other female industry leaders were recognized at an awards ceremony yesterday at the National Remarketing Conference in Las Vegas.

Now in its third year, the award showcases women’s contributions to the used car, remarketing, auction and auto finance industry. Honorees are acknowledged for their dedication to furthering the industry through philanthropy, education, breakthrough strategies and other initiatives.

“We are fortunate to have Lilicia on our team and congratulate her on this well-deserved honor and for being named to Auto Remarketing’s ‘Women in Remarketing’ list,” said Sandy Schwartz, president of Manheim. “As Chief People Officer, Lilicia plays a key role in helping our employees manage through change and understand the important contributions they make to the company’s future. We are very proud of her and how she supports Manheim and the remarketing industry.”

Bailey is a member of Manheim’s executive board and leads the company’s global human capital strategy. Her responsibilities include oversight of multiple practices, including: Employee Shared Service Centers and HR Business Partners, Organizational Effectiveness, Change Leadership, Executive Development and Training, Talent Management and Global Employee Engagement.

Over the past five years, Bailey has successfully transitioned human resources into a key strategic function within the organization by aligning its people vision and mission with metrics that drive business results. In addition, under her leadership in 2011 – for the third time – Manheim was named one of the “Top 50 Best Places to Work” by AARP. Also in 2011, Bailey was personally honored by the Atlanta Business League and named as one of "Atlanta's Top 100 Black Women of Influence."
