Record numbers of consumers have joined DealerRater’s user base in the first quarter of 2011 enabling DealerRater to hit its 300,000th car dealer review milestone after celebrating the 200,000th revie

Waltham, MA – DealerRater®, the world’s premier car dealer review website, announced recently that record numbers of auto consumers are joining the DealerRater user base to share their car dealership experiences online; and, as a result, dealer reviews posted by consumer members rose 50% during the first quarter of 2011, enabling the company to attain its 300,000th review milestone.

“This is an exciting time for the entire DealerRater community of both auto consumers and car dealerships across North America,” said Chip Grueter, president at DealerRater. “To gain 100,000 additional dealer reviews from our registered user base in three months alone points to the growing significance of online reviews in today’s auto marketplace as well as the necessity for dealers to pay closer attention to their online reputation.”

To commemorate the milestone celebration, DealerRater will give an iPad to Donna of Axtell, Texas, the DealerRater community member who wrote the 300,000th review. Donna became a registered user of DealerRater after purchasing a car from Dave Walter BMW, a DealerRater Certified Dealer located in Akron, Ohio.

DealerRater’s registered user base has more than doubled the past two years. DealerRater represents a vast online community attracting more than 5 million web site visitors each year. The company provides car dealers with access to an ever expanding market of potential customers who place importance on quality sales and service.
