Live 'Shop of Tomorrow' Demonstrations Slated for AAPEX

Bethesda, MD – Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) attendees will get a first-hand look at how wireless communications and telematics will give the independent aftermarket service providers a competitive edge at the "Shop of Tomorrow." Live demonstrations will take place at booth #2866 in the upper level of the Sands Expo Center during AAPEX.

Demonstrations are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3 and Wednesday, Nov. 4. Open industry standards from the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), SAE and others will be showcased to demonstrate aftermarket innovation and leadership in wireless service solutions and telematics applications.

"AAIA believes that valuable telematics features, such as e-mail vehicle health reports and wireless notification and diagnosis of trouble codes, are not the exclusive domain of the OEs and their dealer network," said Scott Luckett, AAIA vice president, technology standards.

The "Shop of Tomorrow" will feature technology from ALLDATA, Drew Technologies; Garage Operator; Hunter Engineering and Nexpart from WHI Solutions.
