This year the San Francisco International Film Festival will mark its place in history as the first film festival in the Americas to turn 50. The museum is pleased to be a co-presenter of PAPRIKA, the West Coast premiere of the latest film from director Satoshi Kon.

In this highly anticipated anime (Japanese animation) based on the works of sci-fi master Yasutaka Tsutsui, director Satoshi Kon (Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers) takes you on a mind trip when psychotherapist Chiba enters her patient’s dreams and takes on the ass-kicking persona of “dream detective” Paprika.
