CFOs Surveyed Say it Takes Them Four Weeks or More to Fill Open Accounting Positions

For accounting departments already stretched thin by compliance initiatives and limited resources, a month may seem like too long to wait for help. But according to a recent survey of chief financial officers (CFOs), companies often spend at least that much time hiring a new accounting employee. CFOs polled said it takes them an average of four weeks to fill a staff-level accounting position and six weeks to bring a new manager on board.
