An $8M Florida distributor implemented changes in the management of accounts receivable.  The improved cash flow allowed this company to take advantage of early pay discounts.  At the end of 6 months they had taken $26K in discounts, projected over a year that’s $52K.  Earning a 10% pretax profit, it would have taken $520,000 in additional sales to achieve the same bottom line result.
