Read and Respond to CMA Daily News
by Mike Mitchell, CMA President and CEO
Right now, there are two big news stories about the news that are making, well, news. Katie Couric debuted as anchor of the CBS Evening News to a record audience of 13.6 million viewers, and CMA Daily News has debuted to an audience of 2000 members. Okay, we’re not Katie, but we are encouraged by the growing readership of CMA’s new Daily News format. Events impacting the business credit environment are happening all the time and all around us, and CMA member leaders and staff are challenging themselves to find and keep you informed about the news that is relevant to you and your company. That is one vision for CMA Daily News. As much as we hope that you will find our new approach to association and industry news valuable, don’t be content just to hear from us. You should want to hear what others in credit have to say, and don’t be shy about sharing your own thoughts. So, the other vision of CMA Daily News is that it will become a forum for members to post their thoughts and interact with other members who they might otherwise never get to meet face-to-face. Learn from each other, leverage countless years of collective experience and knowledge, that’s what associations are all about. To make your CMA Daily News experience interactive, get involved by posting Comments on any of the articles. To post comments, click on the “Comments” link below each article. Also, this is where you go to read the responses from others. We all hope to hear from you. On a separate note, I would personally like to thank all the CMA Credit Group Members who hosted my visits to a dozen of CMA’s credit groups last month. I really enjoyed my “road trip,” and the experience gave me new perspectives on what group members value about industry credit groups. Your feedback gave me lots to think about for making sure that CMA continues to provide valuable credit group experiences for the future. Watch CMA Daily News for updates on CMA’s latest efforts to improve credit group services.
