Meet, greet, and mingle at the Western Region Credit Conference

Do you have the “Wallflower” gene? You know, that gene that makes your hands all clammy and changes your internal dialogue from “I should meet that person and start a conversation” to “But if I move over there, I would be giving up this perfectly good wall space”
We have designed the 17th Annual Western Region Credit Conference to help us wallflower types meet others by Linking-in. The intent is to have you leave the Conference with new contacts, friends and credit buddies.
It all starts when you register for the Link-in Conference. On the Registration Form you will find 4 Link-in Networking Questions:
How many years have you worked in Credit?
How many years have you been a NACM member?
Where would you rather spend your vacation?
What cartoon character fits your personality best?
Your answers to these questions will start the networking ball rolling. When you arrive at the Link-in Conference you will receive a name badge like the one below:
This Link-in badge tells us that Jane feels she is a Tazmanian Devil, she likes to vacation in tropical locations, and she has 5 years under her belt in the credit field 3 of those as a NACM member.
Knowing this information about Jane makes it much easier to start a conversation, break the ice, exchange a business card and possibly create a contact that can help you further your career development.
During the Link-in Conference we will also be creating other ways for you to meet new people: luncheon seating by cartoon character, or vacation choice, and a business card holder to store the cards of everyone you have met.

If you have already registered make sure to pack a lot of business cards, and your dancing shoes. You will need those comfortable dancing shoes on Thursday October 14, 2004 for Margaritaville where we dance until they throw us out.
