Free Member Services and Collection Advice
by Adrienne Murphy, CCE

This month I would give recognition to the Collection Division at CMA. Not only are they collecting bad debt money but also are always working on better ways to help us, the members.

CMA’s PreCollect program is proving to be just what the members needed. PreCollect is a FREE member service. PreCollect Service is designed to effect payment from past due customers. PreCollect Service accounts are sent two payment request letters within a 30 day period. CMA’s letters request that payment be sent direct to your company. If there is no payment within the thirty-days, and you have not withdrawn the account, then CMA Collection Division will proceed with immediate collection action at their contingent rates.

For over 12 years, CMA has maintained membership in the Commercial Collection Agency Section of the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA). As a member, CMA participates in the Triad, using only bonded commercial collection attorneys who are also members of the CLLA. This offers CMA Members a great network of attorney’s nationwide that CMA can recommend to you if you must litigate.

CMA’s Collection Team, headed by Rich Deocampo, have an average of eighteen years of experience, they provide above industry standard recovery (based on the CLLA average recovery figures), and quality customer service. Rich and his Team are also available to you by phone to answer any collection questions you may have. Feel free to contact them direct at 818-972-5366.

CMA has also formed a Guerilla Marketing Group for Collections consisting of CMA Staff and CMA Board Members. Their objective is to meet and exceed the expectations of CMA members. They have just started to test a new service called Group Collection Network. Group Collection Network provides added value to CMA’s Industry Credit Groups that have a high concentration of members placing accounts for collection through CMA. If you want to hear more about the Group Collection Network contact Dina Amadril at 562-432-4807.
