Here are some of the CMA Members Resolutions for 2004!
In 2004, the quality of my credit files will be significantly improved. Robert Simmons, CCE
Since being acquired by our parent company, I have resolved to share with other credit mgrs in our core industry (lighting platform) collection problems with existing and common customers as well as credit info on new ones. We can do this by email, which seems to be the method of choice these days to communicate in a more timely and user friendly manner, especially when we are dealing in different time zones throughout the workday. Pat Hallmark
To continue reducing the amount of paper used in the construction conditional/unconditional lien release process and to encourage more customers to pay via wire transfer. Edward Allegretti
I have several goals, credit resolutions for year 2004, Below are just some of them:
1. Continue learning & attend advance credit training management, by attending continuing education classes, webinars, share & do my best to be active in the anscer's community. Anscers community and the group that constantly participates have helped me in several ways. I give credit to them especially Mr. Michael Dennis for his prompt responses.
2. Continue cross training credit & collection's staff.
3. Our goals are all incorporated with our prioritized market needs Products that sell, achieve margin expectations, on time, defect free shipping, understand our business and customers, product innovation, higher fill rate, vendor compatibility/support.
4. Continue to communicate timely with partners in the organization for prompt deduction resolutions to maintain customers satisfaction. With proactive partners in the organization, we solve the problem before the customer makes the deduction. These solutions have prevented or alleviated future deductions.
Rida M. Grijalba
Our resolution is to be more responsive to credit rating inquiries. We need data fast, so I can appreciate that our quick responses are also needed. Norm Groot
In 2004, we will continue an aggressive posture to have the best DSO in the Staffing Industry. To accomplish this, we plan on finalizing a Credit Information Data Base that best catalogs marginal and risk prospects who we will then pass on to our competition. Bruce M. Whitelaw
Resolutions are always thought provoking. Since I started a new job this year, my resolution is to "be the solution; not the challenge!"
The "function" of Credit is always a double-edged sword, finding the balance in which to achieve a goal that accommodates sales while securing assets and limiting exposure. Not an easy task in these economic conditions and one that invokes the most creative. I would like to believe that being the solution to situations that occur will build a partnership, internally with staff and externally with customers; taking advantage of bridging that "gap" that credit professionals face.
Best wishes for the New Year in whatever resolutions made, whether is be professionally or personally.
