"CMA Business Credit Services Online Community Bulletin Board
One of the NACM's local affiliates, CMA Business Credit Services, has developed
an online 'Community Bulletin Board' for credit professionals. While other
entities sponsor chat rooms and other online forums, CMA has taken this concept
much further. In the two years that the Bulletin Board has been active, more
than 450 people have signed up, and there have been more than 1100 posts. Posts
can be made into any one of a dozen categories, including:
International Credit and Exporting
Credit Law
Debt Collection
Credit Policies and Procedures
Bankruptcy
Suggestions, and
Ask the Credit Community
There are no fees, and anyone, anywhere is welcome to join. Moderators, who are
either outside experts in a specific field or employees of CMA have helped
foster an online environment in which participants receive detailed and
specific answers to their questions. Another unique aspect of this bulletin
board is the amount of time and effort that goes into the responses. For
example, in response to a question submitted recently about export credit
policies, there were ten responses totaling 2200 words. The web site link is:
