New Ideas at Western Region Credit Conference

Among the twenty-four educational sessions offered at this year’s Western Region Credit Conference, the Conference features three brand new programs.

Cutting-Edge Technology: Computer and Internet-based software programs are changing the way that credit professionals can and do conduct business. This special double-session will give participants an opportunity to see first hand what technology tools are available to help make faster, more accurate risk decisions. Credit product and service providers will present brief demonstrations of electronic funds transfers, online credit applications, online deduction management, credit and collections software, online access to domestic and international credit reports, and more.

Affiliate Presidents Town Hall: The Presidents of the Western Region NACM Affiliates will for the first time conduct a forum about the latest news and events affecting credit communities at the regional and national levels. This is an opportunity for NACM members to speak with Affiliate leaders and national representatives about the issues most important to them.

Exporters Credit Group: The new Exporters Credit Group of Southern California (formerly the International Credit Group) is sponsoring a panel discussion on international credit issues. With more and more companies selling globally, this special session will help credit professionals understand the best ways to extend credit successfully to their customers in other countries. Participants will learn the latest techniques for obtaining credit information, establishing competitive terms, mitigating non-payment risks, and making sound international credit decisions. The panel will also include updates on economic and credit conditions in Latin America, Pacific Rim, and other emerging markets.

The Affiliate sponsors of the 2003 Western Region Credit Conference hope that these new ideas will increase the overall educational value of the Conference for all participants. So don’t miss these unique opportunities to catch up on all the latest news and information from NACM.
