New Technical Support Option
Alpha Software would like to introduce LiveRepair.com, an online technical support service.  We would like to know what you think about having live, real-time support for Alpha.

LiveRepair.com is a new, online technical support service.  They offer 24-hour assistance via chat for many computer questions, such as how-to questions, installation problems and hardware-software conflicts.  Moreover, to speed up troubleshooting and problem resolution, LiveRepair.com has developed diagnostic software that collects vital system information from a user's PC that can be analyzed by an expert in troubleshooting a problem.  This screen-sharing technology allows the experts to apply a solution directly on a user's PC, or demonstrate the usage of an application.  It's just like having a support representative at your desk.

We are considering working with them to add support for Alpha products.

However, before we proceed we wanted to find out if our readers would be interested.  Therefore, we would like you to complete the reader survey so we can determine whether or not to pursue this.  Obviously, their capability to answer questions would be a dominant factor in our decision.

The cost for their current service is likely to be about $99/year/PC.

As many of you know, the Alpha Message Board is a great resource for many problems, but there are times when a user might need an answer more quickly, or might need help with a problem that other message board users cannot answer.  In cases like these, LiveRepair.com might be an attractive alternative.

So, let us know what you think.  Your input will help us make a more informed decision.
