Alpha Five Developer's Conference
by Ira J. Perlow

Untitled The 2nd Alpha Five Developer's Conference is rapidly approaching.

If you haven't registered for it yet, time is short. The price goes up March 4th!
If you use Alpha Five or are considering using it, DON'T MISS THIS EVENT!

It will be held once again in Burlington, Massachusetts (near Boston) on March 21st-24th, 2002.

The speakers will include some of the premiere Alpha Five Consultants and Developers, including;

Dr. Peter Wayne
Steve Workings
Ira J. Perlow
Frances Peake
Susan H Bush
Jim Chapman
Tom Cone
Cal Locklin
And others (See web site for up to date list)

In addition, Selwyn Rabins, President of Alpha Software, will be the keynote speaker, highlighting key aspects of Version Five, the next version of Alpha Five, as well as Alpha Software's future plans for client-server and Web versions of Alpha Five. Many of the Alpha Software's development team will be present as well (to ask those really tough questions!)

The conference will be attended by Consultants, Programmers, Developers and Users. It will be 3 days (and evenings) of intensive Alpha Five talks and work sessions, covering a wide variety of Alpha Five topics, both beginner and advanced.

Plus, you will have the unique opportunity to talk, meet and discuss Alpha Five with others Alpha Five users just like you, giving you great insight and ideas about how to supercharge your applications.

If you are not sure about attending, read on.

Alpha Five Users
The next version of the software, Alpha Five Version 5, is imminent, and users will find an extremely large jump in versatility, functionality and ease of use with this newest version. The conference will cover many aspects of the new features of Alpha Five Version 5, as well as features common to older versions. There will be tracks for both beginner and advanced users. There is no better way to get a jump on the next version and improve your current applications.

Alpha 4 Users
Are you still using Alpha 4 for DOS? Do you hate windows? Unfortunately, we're all being dragged into a windows environment, no matter how reluctantly we want to go! At the conference, there will be talks and worksessions to help you with the conversion from Alpha 4 to Alpha Five.

New to Alpha Five?
If you are still deciding about Alpha Five, the conference is a good way to see the strengths and ease of use of Alpha Five and help decide whether Alpha Five is right for you (we know it is, but you need the facts!)

Attendees at the 1st conference that was held in December 2000, ranged from people who hadn't even touched Alpha Five yet to casual users to heavy-duty users and consultants. This is what some of the attendees had to say;

"Information, techniques, meeting other Developers, I certainly got my money's worth!" - Barry Rochford

"I learned more in the 3 day conference from the concentrated exposure to most of the real Alpha gurus than I had picked up in a long year of private frustrations and trial and error work with the instruction manuals." - Leon H. Brachman

"It was a great experience, well worth the money. It allowed me to meet with other developers, learn new techniques, and discuss issues relating to professionally developing Alpha software." - Jay Talbott

"I found the December 2000 conference to be very beneficial and well worth the cost, what I learned and who I met. It was a "win - win" for me." - Ken Nordin

We hope to see you at the conference!
