Admiral Milton Keynes Helps Community Church

The Church of Christ the Cornerstone is set right in the heart of Milton Keynes. The church building was opened in 1992 as the first ecumenical city centre church in the UK. It is home to a vibrant and dynamic Christian community which brings together people from the Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, Methodist and United Reformed traditions in a wide variety of styles of worship, ministry and service.

“For the last 15yrs we have had good service from our existing photocopier supplier but the current machine was coming to the end of its life”, said Peter Williams – Business Manager. “So when I was introduced to Garry Dockree from Admiral, he was up against it from the start!” The winning solution that Admiral proposed involved utilising the Church’s much wider IT network linking everyone within the business to a multi functional printer. The Admiral solution was priced competitively and offered all users access to added functionality and to use colour for the first time. This speeded up internal processes and made creating attractive documents much easier. Now the Church can also do their own reports without having to send them out to an external printer thanks to the booklet fold and staple functionality.

“The quality of the Sharp printer is excellent; it does so much more than we expected it to do! And the great thing about it is we no longer have to fold and staple documents by hand! The Admiral solution is excellent.” Peter commented. He continued “As a 45 page per minute machine it is very impressive, cost was a big factor and the offer that Admiral made was cost effective”. The Church of Christ the Cornerstone were looking for a local company and Garry Dockree demonstrated that Admiral was the right company with the correct skill set. “The service provided by Admiral has been excellent throughout from conception to implementation. Garry Dockree is very genuine in his desire to help the local community and he has strong personal connections with other groups within the building. Admiral proved to me that they are seriously committed to delivering clear business benefits to their customers, and their staff are prepared to go that extra mile.”

Admiral also recommended an Audio Visual solution for the church’s notice board. A conscious decision was made to take away notice boards which were loaded with paper meaning the church found they had limited space to place new notices. “I am forever removing notices as they are out of date” commented Peter. The intention was to come up with a solution that would provide information that needed to be displayed. Through Admiral Audio Visual, digital signage was set up on a LCD TV as an information tool and attraction for visitors to the centre. There is so much more Peter can do with this flexible solution compared to the notice board issue. He is able to add professional looking messages with ease.
