Can you believe we've been doing this for 18 years?  We are so proud of the fact that we have helped more than 115 people advance their careers in aviation.  The Scholarship Auction is always a marvelous "DON'T MISS" event.  This year we have added a Monte Carlo Nite to the festivities.  Come try your luck while tasting great "heavy hors' doeuvres", great drinks, buffet dinner, great hangar talk, great, maybe not so great jokes. Win great prizes, bid on great items in the Silent Auction; spend special Aero Club dollars in the professional run casino.  Make your reservations now.

Please join us in support of ACONE's 18th Annual Scholarship program on Friday, November 15th @ Monte Carlo Night (click on link for details).

In accordance with the objectives set forth in its Constitution, the Aero Club of New England has established a scholarship program to foster general interest in the art of flying and to encourage careers in aviation and related fields. All scholarships are funded through donations to the Aero Club of New England Scholarship Endowment Fund or by an annual Fall Scholarship Auction.  The Anne Bridge Baddour was established to honor the woman who started the scholarship program.
In the spring of 1987, the Club established two advanced pilot training scholarships honoring two long-standing Aero Club Directors, The Frank D. Comerford Memorial Scholarship and The Ann Wood Kelly Scholarship. Ann Wood Kelly was also President of the Aero Club from 1965 to 1968.
Since 1987 and on going, the Dean S. Edmonds Foundation has donated an annual scholarship for use toward an education in aeronautics at the Wentworth Institute of Technology.   It is  now given to a student at Daniel Webster College. Named the Lockhart Smith, Jr. Scholarship, it honors a long-time professor at Wentworth and long-time Advisor to the Aero Club Board of Directors.
In 1992, two new scholarships were established. The John T. Griffin, Sr. Scholarship for study in the field of aircraft maintenance technology honors a former Aero Club President, long-time Director, and founder of East Coast Aero Technical School. The Dean S. Edmonds, Jr. M.I.T. Scholarship for study in the field of Aeronautical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology honors a former Aero Club President, long-time Director and benefactor of the Club.
The creation of the Charles and Arlene Ehlers Memorial Scholarship for instrument flight training was announced in October of 1993, funded partially through donations made to the memory of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ehlers.
In 1995, The Edward D Waters Memorial Scholarship was  established by  to honor this man who loved aviation.
Also in 1995, the first ACONE Honored Member Scholarship was given by the Club. Each year this scholarship is named to honor a Club member who has made a significant contribution to aviation and to the Aero Club of New England as a way to say "Thank you" to members during their lifetime.
Family memorial scholarships were established in 1997 to honor a grandfather, The Bauer/Bisgeier Memorial Scholarship, and son, The Andrew Channing Cabot Memorial Scholarship and in 2000 the Michael T. Hadik Scholarship memoralizing a brother.
