Did You Know?
Cats Crave the Water of Canned Foods

Just like their owners, our four-legged friends need water to keep their body cool and maintain healthy function of their circulatory, cardiovascular, renal and other systems. Unlike us, however, they can't walk to the refrigerator for a bottle of H20 whenever their bodies are crying out for hydration. Even the presence of a perpetually full water bowl may not prompt pets particularly cats to take in as much water as they need to maintain optimal health.

Canned Hydration

Among the myriad benefits canned cat foods provide are that they tend to have a high water content. Many cat owners exclusively serve dry foods and expect their pets will take in as much water as they need from the water dish. But because cats invariably fail to consume enough water from the bowl, they require the fluids and nutrients contained in canned foods to stay properly hydrated and healthy.

Introducing the First Poultry-Free Canned Cat Flavor from Wellness

The purest way to add water to a cat's diet is to recommend Wellness® Canned Cat Formulas, including the newest variety, Wellness Beef & Salmon. Grain-free like many of our other canned cat formulas, Beef & Salmon is the first poultry-free canned cat flavor from Wellness. It's a smooth paté of tasty beef and salmon our version of "Surf and Turf" —  is available in 3-ounce, 5.5-ounce and 12.5-ounce cans.
