WMS Welcomes Two New Members to Its Board of Directors
WMS is pleased to announce the election of two new members to the Board of Directors, Lea Black and John Mike. “Both Lea and John will be a great addition to the WMS Board as we continue to grow and move forward,” said John Vicklund, President of WMS.

Lea Black currently serves as Vice President/General Manager for Damar Machine in Monroe, Washington. Damar is one of three service disabled veteran-owned businesses in the Thomas James International group of affiliated companies. They work with numerous OEM’s and Defense Department agencies as a systems integrator providing systems integration, kitting, point of use delivery and manufactured parts to the aerospace and defense communities since 1973.

During her tenure with Damar, Lea has led the company through AS9100 registration, ERP implementation and achieving the Silver Supplier Certification with the Boeing Company.

Prior to coming on board with Damar, Lea was Vice President of Operations for Giddens Industries, and prior to that, she was President of United Stars Aerospace. She has worked with the State of Washington in the development phases of Washington Aerospace Alliance and Washington Manufacturing Services. Lea has served as the Business Development Director for the Pacific Manufacturing Group and was featured in Business Week magazine.

John Mike is currently Vice President and General Manager at Prometco, Inc. of Woodinville. Prometco began in 1943 as a Bothell weld shop and later became recognized as a high quality fabricator of stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steel structures. Mr. Mike joined Prometco in 2001 and is currently a partner in this business with Phil Proctor, who has owned Prometco since 1969.

During the last four years, Prometco has been transformed from a business known primarily as a high quality fabricator and job shop manufacturer to become a successful FDA/USDA machine and equipment manufacturer. The current business basis for Prometco is primarily with food processing and packaging customers with targeted expansion now beginning in the pharmaceutical and biotech business sectors. During the past two years, WMS has provided Prometco assistance with this transformation in developing manufacturing, quality assurance and computer aided management systems important to the new Prometco business direction.
