The Franciscan Friars of Holy Name Province
New Leadership

The Franciscan Friars of Holy Name Province met for a Provincial Chapter last week in Cambridge, MD to elect their leadership for the next three years. Some of the results will be of interest to the Siena community.
Fr. John O’Connor, O.F.M., who has served as the Provincial Minister for the past six years and as an ex officio member of the Siena College Board of Trustees, was re-elected for another three years. Fr. John is joined by former Siena Trustee, Fr. Dominic Monti, O. F. M. who was re-elected as the Vicar Provincial Minister for three years.
Six Provincial Counselors are elected to compose the Provincial Administration. Four of the six have immediate connections to Siena College. Current Siena Trustee, Bro. F. Edward Coughlin, O.F.M. was re-elected for another three year term as a Provincial Counselor. He is joined by Fr. William Beaudin, O.F.M., former Chaplain of Siena College and current member of the staff of the Office of the President at Siena College; and Bro. Brian Belanger, O.F.M., the current Guardian of the Siena Friary and Director of the International Studies Program at Siena College. In addition, a Siena alumus and former faculty member, Fr. Thomas Conway, O.F.M., ‘81 was re-elected for a three year term.
