Sr. Rosemary Sgroi, rsm recently celebrated her 50^th anniversary as a Sister of Mercy. Sr. Rosemary worked in Campus Ministry from 1980-94, and returned to Siena in 2008 as Associate Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations.  To honor Sr. Rosemary and this milestone, a scholarship is being endowed in her honor. This scholarship will be in honor of Sr. Rosemary’s parents, Anna and Salvadore Sgroi, to commemorate the love and support they provided her.  The scholarship will benefit a woman, preferably from the Arbor Hill Neighborhood in Albany, NY, who embraces the Franciscan spirit and would otherwise be unable to attend college. Preference will also be given to a woman who has been enrolled in the elementary and high school Mentoring Program (formerly Big Brothers Big Sisters). In addition, a special dinner to honor Sr. Rosemary is being held at Siena on Friday, November 20 at 6 pm.
