Each year the Alumni Association recognizes four members of the alumni body as “Distinguished Alumni” with the following awards:
 
The Professor Joseph A. Buff Award for outstanding accomplishments or achievements in their careers.
 
The Reverend Benjamin Kuhn, OFM Award for specific contributions to improve the Siena Community.
                    
The Professor Egon Plager Award for accomplishments in advancing the welfare of other human beings.
 
The Franciscan Spirit Award for young alumni demonstrating a commitment to advancing the welfare of other human beings.
 
We are asking your help to identify individuals that you may know who exemplify the criteria above, especially for the Plager Award.  Many of the individuals who would be strong candidates for the Plager Award toil day in and day out in “quiet anonymity” and you can help us identify these individuals in particular.
 
Ideally, we are looking for candidates that will be celebrating a reunion in June 2010 (classes ending with a 5 or 0), although, we will review all candidates submitted by Monday, November 23, 2009.  For detailed information about the Distinguished Alumni Awards and to view videos of the 2009 recipients, please check out
